Brian Scrivens, DO

Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Brian Scrivens is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at MCMC Orthopedic Institute.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California and completed his residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon. Following his residency, Dr. Scrivens completed a fellowship in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at the University at Buffalo in New York where he served as an associate team doctor for the Buffalo Sabres (NHL), Buffalo Bills (NFL) and Buffalo State University (NCAA). He is certified in advanced trauma and cardiac life support and has performed research at Oregon State University.

Dr. Scrivens manages athletes of all ages, from weekend warriors to professionals. He takes a special interest in knee and shoulder arthroscopy for management of ACL and rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, and cartilage lesions. Additionally, he cares for patients with fractures and general orthopedic injuries and complaints.

Taking pride in his bedside manner as well as his surgical skills, Dr. Scrivens believes in treating every patient as a unique person not a surgical case number. When he is not in clinic, he can be found on the sidelines of local sporting events, working closely with area youth athletes. Outside of his work interests, Dr. Scrivens enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful Gorge lifestyle.
