James Reardon, MD
Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. James Reardon is a board -certified orthopedic surgeon and total joint replacement specialist at MCMC Orthopedic Institute.
Prior to joining the Institute, Dr. Reardon practiced for more than 20 years in Kansas City. He also chaired the orthopedic joint replacement service of a large Kansas City hospital, where he performed more than 700 surgeries a year. He uses his deep experience and broad skill set to help people throughout the Gorge regain their quality of life, whether their goal is to walk without pain or return to professional sports.
Dr. Reardon has performed thousands of the most common orthopedic procedures, from sports injuries to total hip and knee replacements, and has refined his total hip, shoulder and knee replacement techniques. His other areas of expertise include sports injuries, knee, shoulder and hip arthroscopies and specialized procedures such as joint preservation surgery and cartilage transplantation.
He completed his B.A. in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Missouri, where he also received his M.D. He took his internship at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He completed his fellowship in joint replacement, trauma and sports medicine in Australia and Switzerland.
Dr. Reardon has volunteered abroad, providing his expertise as an orthopedic surgeon to patients in-need who would otherwise be unable to receive high quality medical care.
He enjoys helping patients who are dedicated to regaining strength and movement. Knowing that he can help them in that journey is something he finds incredibly rewarding.
